Thoughts on Consciousness #2
The enemy is fear. To love your enemy is to put love in place of fear. Do so, by holding peace of heart in all situations. Then you will see there is no enemy, only you who is love.
The Tao says to embrace simplicity, work without effort, keep free of possessions, avoid desires, and be serene. Then all things will come to you on their own.
Names separate. To name something does not give it reality. To name something honors its existence. Existence is separation.
Today’s science of the universe takes us back to the beginning. We know our existence from the Big Bang to now and can somewhat predict where the universe is headed. But before the Big Bang? Nothing. This nothingness is the emptiness that is nowhere. It has been referred to in this way for thousands of years by those who contemplate what cannot be understood. It is consciousness, the intelligent awareness that is reality. Reality is whole, complete, perfect, eternal without for or dimension. It is the whole of the all.
The power of manifestation lies in awareness. Existence arises in consciousness’ own awareness of its thoughts of separation. These thoughts are dreams within consciousness that cannot be made real, like a unicorn cannot become real. The dream is not real, but it exists. Manifestation is not real, but it exists.
Consciousness is not existence except in its power to express the appearance of separation. We see this as a universe born from nothing. We are not far from that nothingness, which is consciousness. I AM consciousness expressing. I AM the expressing that is manifestation. I AM that which I am, that I call twia. Twia has never left reality. The room within holds the knowledge of I AM. That knowledge is in all things. It cannot, in truth, separate itself, so all things are one. Oneness underlies our world of particles, objects, and spacetime. None of it is real.
I cannot know consciousness except through twia. The me of the body is limited by fear of oblivion. It fears being nothing. This fear blocks the door to the room within.
Much has been said about consciousness throughout centuries of teachings that tell us nothing. Why? Because consciousness cannot be described no matter how many words are written, including these. It cannot be described, seen, heard, or grasped. It has no form, no size; it is emptiness that is nowhere without dimensions. The teachings tell us nothing except to know its presence within and live with it in harmony. To live in harmony with consciousness is to hold peace of heart. This opens the door to twia. There is no oblivion in twia.
