YOU ARE NOT YOUR BODY
Physicists at CERN smash subatomic particles to learn more about the fundamental building blocks of the universe and all that it harbors. What constitutes the structure of existence is forever being explored. Our species is seldom satisfied with what is known about the world, including our own nature. Physics constantly strives to learn about the origin and structure of the universe, while metaphysics is forever seeking the meaning and purpose of life. In this vein, Shiva’s dancing complements CERN’s quantum curiosity. The statue and the collider represent the spirituality of metaphysics and the physicality of science. In their own ways, they grapple with understanding the human experience. As each strives to nourish the understanding of existence, they entwine into a tree of knowledge. They are the roots and branches of what we know about ourselves and the world in which we live.
Scientists explore existential questions at CERN by piercing the depths of atomic structures to expose the fundamental makeup of celestial objects and discover the laws that govern them. Their explorations delve deeper and deeper into quantum mechanics and field theory as they physically examine the underlying structure of the ever-expanding universe. Metaphysics, on the other hand, contemplates the essence of existence to describe what lies beyond the physical world, if anything. Metaphysics is concerned more with human spirituality than physical context. Spirituality recognizes something greater than the me of the body and the world it occupies. This recognition derives from a sense that there is more to you than blood and bones. You feel a divine nature.
Spiritually you are consciousness expressing separation as existence. You experience existence as the universe. You might call consciousness totality, for there is no other than consciousness. It is described here as a singular unity of oneness. Oneness is an idea within consciousness as part of the manifestation of separation. Oneness and separation are thoughts in consciousness that have no reality. There is no concept of one until there is thought of two. From two comes one. This is separation. Oneness and separation are poles of duality in existence. Along with existence, they are not real, just as a unicorn is not real, although it exists in a child’s consciousness.
The world you experience is not real. Its existence is transitory, whereas reality is eternal and whole. Separation cannot exist except as perception. Using the limited senses of the body, you perceive a world that is illusion in which you fear losing what cannot be lost. What cannot be lost is your true nature. Because you perceive separation as your reality, you believe in the falsehood of the body that binds you to illusion. You are not your body, nor the senses, thoughts, and feelings it employes during its existence. In believing that you are a body, you unconsciously deny the real power you are as consciousness-expressing. Perception gives you erroneous proof that you are an object separate from others when there is no other.
The universe is existence as you know it. In this world of separation, you appear as a me of the body on an object in spacetime. This is your existence. Your world is but an idea of separation in consciousness. It cannot exist except as illusion. Your physical body with its senses, thoughts, and feelings is transitory. Your reality, though, is eternal. That reality is I AM. Your true nature is that which I AM, or twia. Twia is consciousness-expressing. Consciousness-expressing manifests the whole of the all. The manifestation of this world comes through twia. Your world is an illusion within consciousness, much like a unicorn is fantasy in a child’s mind. Your body is no more real than the unicorn. The body is not twia. The body withers, dies, and fades to dust. Twia is eternally whole, complete, perfect.
You are twia, which is consciousness-expressing. Twia is not an entity. There is no individual identity that sets twia apart from others. There is no other. Do not think of twia as a name or an acronym. It is simply a coined term to reflect your eternal, infinite reality that is expressing the whole of the all. Names reflect illusion rather than the reality that is consciousness. You cannot know twia except in the silence of the room within. In that state of consciousness, names are not used. It is when you know twia without name that you will know the way of the path. The way of the path is to remember twia. Twia is your true nature.
