You cannot know consciousness. It is the emptiness that is nowhere. It is without description or comparison. There is nothing other than consciousness. Yet, from thoughts of separation, gods emerge as constructs to explain what you cannot comprehend. Each, in its own way, helps to answer questions about existence. This is metaphysics, when you look beyond your physical world to explain its existence. Gods are metaphysical. They transcend the physical and its laws. Gods are born from ignorance of your true nature and your fear of death’s oblivion. They bring relief to the terrors of the physical world.
