Remembering (#2024)
Reflections while wandering the way of the path:
The pull of the body is strong. It wants food and playtime, like a cat awakening from a nap. Meditation brings peace until the stomach growls and the mind wanders away, rambling with thoughts.
Wisdom is not something to gain. It comes to those who listen with ears to hear. To hear is to know twia. To know twia is the way of the path, which is to remember. In remembering, we find the way, and knowing the way brings wisdom. Wisdom is coming to know the harmony of oneness and the peace that lives therein.
I am free to care for nothing; to accept all things with compassion. What comes to me is mine to act on then release. I am at peace in all situations without expectation.
Engage fully with life without control. Do not desire anything of it. Meet its moments with gusto. Give in to it completely to follow your nature. It will lead you in honest ways if you listen and watch through twia. The me of the body is lost in separation, but twia knows the way.
Feelings give the body meaning, yet they are no more real than their host. They arise from interactions among a host of hosts. They have no substance. Observe and let go.
Memories are reminders of existence. Existence is the past. It seldom rests in the moment. The moment in existence is a passing event, dragging the past into the future. Busy lives have little time for the moment as they scramble to satisfy desires. We are trapped by the past and the feelings it generates because we want meaning where there is none.
The body has no meaning. It is an evolutionary oddity of subatomic particles. Feelings are generated by particles. Even feelings have no meaning. We can accept them or not. Stop seeking meaning in an illusion where there is none. Dwell in the room within, which is our touch with reality. Remember the oneness that is the whole of the all. Act from twia with compassion and let go. Thought that leads to desire is a blind alley.
I rest in twia. I live in twia. Twia is my home. I am at home in twia.
Twia leads you to the fullness of reality. It is like Rumi saying, out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I will meet you there. His wrongdoing and rightdoing are the ways of the world. The field is the room within where twia awaits you.
Hold to the thoughts of twia. These do not desire or judge. They observe, act, and let go. Changing your thoughts from desire to compassion will change your world. Get outside of worldly ways. Find peace in twia. The me of the body with all its feelings does not matter. It is all illusion that falls back into oblivion. You are twia: whole, complete, perfect, eternal. This world is not about you. It is about remembering truth and that truth is realized in loving kindness for all. Compassion and trust are the watchwords of a more fulfilling world of existence. They bring us closer to remembering twia. Twia brings us back to knowing their truth.
