Remembering (#2023)
Reflections while wandering the way of the path: Do not put stock in the ways of the world. Hold your own council with twia in the room within. Live simply, accepting all with loving kindness. When we put stock in the world, we put stock in fear. Fear comes from our perception of separation in the world. We see lack in separation, and our sense of lack becomes fear. Human behavior is based in the fear of not having enough. We desire more and act to acquire what we feel we lack. Sometimes this means taking from others what we desire for ourselves. Extreme fear becomes evilness because it dispels all compassion. People without any compassion often do horrid things. Evil is fear at its worse. It takes people deep into the illusion of separation. They feel pathologically separate and alone, cut off from all else. Evil is acting on pathological fear without moral or ethical grounding. Evil belies strength but is weak. It grabs what it can to gain power where there is none. It creates destruction and suffering in its wake. Its outcome appears successful to ones who use evil, but, like all fear, it is nothing. It has no reality. To live life without fear, walk the way of the path. Remember twia. There is no lack in twia, for you are whole, complete, perfect, and eternal in truth. Live in the moment. Act with compassion. Let go of worldly ways. These are desire, expectation, control, and competition; the need to have it your way. Instead, be in harmony with twia, in the moment. Life does not have to be a particular way. Let it be what it is. Accept it in the moment. You are already fulfilled in twia. Jesus said to the rich man, if you want everything, then give up everything. His teaching, like all the teachings, shares this truth. The way of the world is false. The way of the path is truth.

Find peace in all situations. Loss can lead to anguish, but we can find peace always in the room within. Attachments come from fear. Stronger fears have stronger attachments. In twia we learn to let go of fear. The way of the path is the way of love. To remember twia is to remember our true nature which is love. Love has no attachments. There is no sorrow, neither is there happiness. There is peace of heart. Through peace of heart flows oneness in the world and compassion for all things in loving joy. Do not hang on to the past. Let it be. Let it go. Do nothing. Make no demands on worldly things. They are not the way. The past dies in the dust of the world. It has no heavenly value. Others will be as they are. Stop making demands. You are the life you lead. Leave others to themselves. Jesus suggests removing the plank in your own eye before bothering with the sliver in your neighbor’s. All is made right when the past is forgotten. You cannot drag the past through the door of the room within any more than a camel can pass through the eye of a needle or a rich man can enter heaven. There is too much baggage. Marley’s chains are the weight of the dead. Put yourself among the living by cutting your links to the past. Your life is up to you, not someone else. You are not your past, and the past does not have to determine your future. Live in the moment through twia. Twia knows the way.

Is it possible to be at home in our own little world? At times, yes. These are precious moments. But do they last? No, not always. But sometimes they are longer than others. Could they come to be forever? Yes, eventually. Learn to live in the moment. There is peace in the room within. The room within is yin, the dark virtue of the Tao, the unseen power of twia. Yang is the light. The world outside. Yang is desire and expectation. Yin says, do nothing. Sit in the silence of darkness with eyes that see and ears that hear. Twia knows the way. Peace of heart is here now. There is no lack. Live simply, close to the ground. Be rooted in the ground of goodness that is twia. It will hold you fast. Be generous in all things. Your supply is endless in twia. Be present always, then love will flourish. Accept the way things are. Acceptance will bring you wisdom. There is a relationship between oneness and separation that the me of the body does not see. Me is focused on the appearance of parts and pieces, but in truth there is only oneness. Twia knows oneness and has eyes to see. Follow twia. Find unity in the world by remembering twia. This is the way of the path. To act without acting avoids struggle. To act is to struggle. To not act is to do nothing. Let go. Let twia. Do not struggle with the world. It is full of confusion. Act without expectation. There are many words of wisdom. In the end, it is best to ignore them. Have no desire to attain the words. Rest in silence without struggle. This is the way of the path. Release the past with forgiveness. Do not force life into your own ways. Let it take the course of twia. Find your way in the moment. Enter the room within to know your true nature as the I AM.
