Remembering (#2021)
Reflections while wandering the way of the path:
Following twia is simple. Simplicity is at the core of twia. Set your heart on peace. Harmony with twia abides in heart, the room within.
Twia is easy to follow when you do nothing. Then heart is open to the way and mind is closed to the world. This is not something that can be explained. I waste words trying to do so, but it is what I do. So be it!
Keep it simple. Follow your nature. Your nature is the joy within. It holds all things in peace. I AM that which I am. It is that simple. There is nothing there to discuss except our own confusion. Separation distorts our perceptions, and we lose awareness of our nature. Hold to twia. The vision of I AM pierces our false perceptions to reveal oneness in the world.
I am not my efforts. I am not my journey. I trust that what I appeared as in life years ago is different from today. If I met somebody from back then, would they see the change? Maybe not. They hold old images and memories, but in time they would know I am not who I was, and I would hope the same for them. For to be the same person one’s whole life seems unlikely as we grow and develop, not only physically but spiritually. It is spirit that changes who we are through the years if we let it. Our true self, twia, guides us along the way of the path and awaits our return from our ramblings in separation. Not only does the body grow older and grayer, but our true nature grows more present if we let it. If we do, we will not be the same as before.
For more than twenty-five centuries, the teachings say to look within. Therein lies our true nature. That which I am abides in the room within. The me of the body clamors for identity in a world that brings more fear than fulfillment. Shake free the dust of the world. Enter the room within cleansed of the past. True nature lies in heart, not in mind. Empty the mind. Open the heart. Let heart beat in harmony with twia and you will know I AM. This is your identity.
Live in the world simply and graciously. Hold peace of heart at all times. Listen to others but hold your own council. There is no need to fret. Jesus in his wisdom asks, who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?
To think I know, while not knowing, is a great affliction. It pains me not to know. To know that I do not know escapes me. I want to know the answers to my existential questions. They are beyond my knowing, but I am comforted in that twia knows. I accept this, still knowing that I do not know. So, twia knows and embraces me like a mother enveloping her child in loving arms. The embrace frees me of fear, and I dwell in love forever, in harmony with not knowing.
Traces of the past swirl through my body, stirring old memories like dry, autumn leaves blowing about in the fading light of a warm Fall day. I watch them. That is enough. They do not require gathering in piles to be leaped upon.
Sired by the father. Borne by the mother. The me of the body suffers in ignorance. It does not know itself. It is lost in its own illusion. It appears then vanishes back into the dust it came from.
The way of the world is through the mind. The way of the path is through the heart. To know is not to know. To not know is to know. Emptying the mind is removing the past. The room within needs cleansing of the past to leave space in the moment for twia. Knowledge is the past. Let go of the past. Leave room for the moment and twia. True knowledge is the emptiness of the open room.
The ways of the world are separation. Oneness is lost to the me of the body. It knows distinctions, not wholeness. I do not know oneness through the body. Blind eyes do not see. Deaf ears do not hear. Twia sees and hears. Twia knows. By knowing that I do not know, the door opens to twia who has eyes to see and ears to hear. Observe the world as twia. Let peace prevail.
To be whole is to know oneness in the moment in ourselves, in others, and in all things. Clear knowledge of the past and of separation. Dwell in the oneness of the moment. The past holds thoughts of separation. Oneness is found in the moment.
I am grounded in heart. I live in the room within. I touch twia without need to soar in the heavens. My joy is within. I feel the presence of I AM. This is peace on Earth. I am drawn into twia by love’s power. Power is the virtue of I AM.
Fear follows desire, and so precedes it. Once desire is fulfilled, fear arises at its loss. Lack appears again to renew desire for more. This is to live in separation. Instead, dwell in oneness. Be empty of desire. Accept all things in the moment.
Twia is the way. It holds no authority. It has no sway over worldly actions. There is choice in separation between the me of the body and I AM. The way of the world is death. The way of the path is eternal.
Knowledge is the past. Do not look to knowledge to know the moment. The moment lies in twia. To know in the moment is to not know. Do nothing. Let twia. Twia knows.
Open to twia and remember. This is the way of the path. Enter the room within. Sit in contemplation with twia. The way will be shone in the moment. Action will follow naturally. Let go of expectations. Hold peace of heart at all times.
Stand in the light of your own grace. You are the mistress of your soul, the captain of your being. You alone know your way. Heed the voice that guides you. You are the one power, the one strength, the one joy in all things. Light your candle. Let it shine for all the world to know you. In other words, do not sell yourself short with fear. You are whole, complete, perfect, eternal – as is!
None of this can be understood in mind. It can only be known in heart.
