Ruminating with Rumi
You cannot be described. There are no words to say your true nature. It is yours to find within. You can use words as signposts, but in the end you must release the words and find your way in silence. The path leads within. You may have hopes. You may have fears. All must be left at the threshold. Do not seek. Do not wish. You cannot know by trying. Do nothing. Enter without fear, without hope, without desire. Hold no expectations. Rumi says that not even Gabriel can know by trying. It cannot be done by effort. Let your will fade away. Do not run from this dying of the will. You have no will. It is illusion. Let your love die, too. It is tainted by fear. Enter not by will or love. Enter when you are empty of mind and heart. You will find fulfillment within.
Be ready to enter the room within. The moment will arrive when you least expect it. What you hear within is true. Listen! Your wings are clipped in separation. You cannot soar the great heights in form. Break open your heart. Bypass form. Find your way within. Your true nature awaits. Words no longer shroud its glow. The flame burns hot. You find yourself dancing on coals. You saw the embers and the fire came. Do not run from such abundance. Do not compute its goodness. You need not a tally, price, or description. You are here by grace, a grace of your own making. You are the one. There is no other.
