Ruminating with Rumi
Get up before dawn, before your beginning. To arise in that moment is to taste the sweet dew. The drops you drink are placed there by the river within. You are the flowing that brings life to the valley. You are nourished as the water seeks its way to the sea. Do not linger on the banks. Step into the stream. Let yourself be carried by your own wisdom. This is to follow that which I AM. To live in a world of here or there and this or that is to lose your way seeking meaning and purpose. You say you are this or that. You say you are here or there. You do not know. The river knows the course. To keep asking, “Where is the sea?” only keeps you from your natural flow. You cannot find yourself in the world. It is transitory. You are eternal. Enter the room within and know the way in the early light of your own dawning.
