As the me of the body, you have no meaning or purpose. You give meaning and purpose to your life by your own doing. Heredity and environment pave the way as you find meaning and purpose within your culture as you develop. Otherwise, as a body, you are a random collection of particles existing in a universe of particles that come and go as objects in spacetime. Your world is created by whom you think you are. Changing your thoughts can change your world. You exist as illusion in a dream of separation within consciousness. You are transitory and ever-changing in form. You have no permanence. But one thing is real about you. You are not the me of the body. You are I AM. You are driven to know your true nature and awaken from the dream. You cannot find yourself in the world. You must turn within. There you will remember that which I AM. This is the message of the ages. Listen!
You cannot know with words. Words travel with you. They offer direction, but you must leave them at the threshold of the room within. They are not your destination. You are seeking knowledge within, and silence is the way to knowing. Be open to the way without thought. Give reasoning to the wind. Lie low in the valley. Let the river course through you. You are the flowing. At first you flow in darkness. But deep in the darkness lies an ember. Its smoldering glows brighter as your awareness fans it into flame. That fiery glow is your true nature. Be aware. Let your flame burn brightly. Do not struggle. Do nothing. Allow the flowing river to glisten with the light of knowing. The glow of knowing will bring you out of darkness on your way to the sea.
