Attending to Attar, Day 10
You create your own world. You hide in its bullrushes. You hope for a savior to float by who will lead you away from yourself into the unknown. For now, you radiate confidence while facing the darkness. You are blind to your fate. In all the splendor that you project, you feel ugly and flat-footed. You seek a way out but are leery of the light. You accept your false paradise in fear of making the journey into the unknown.
You are lost. You seek a way home. The journey seems far. You wish to stay near to what you know. Desire looms, but you are weak. You have not yet to know that that the great journey begins from within. The heart is open to the ocean while you see only the drop on its crest that you call paradise. Your world is a mote of dust in the sunbeams of heaven. You declare yourself whole while glorifying the speck you have created as your personal existence. You are trapped in a paradise of your own making. Seek the unknown within your heart. It surpasses all that you can imagine.
