Attending to Attar, Day 6
The one you seek lives near but is far, far away. The journey for you is long. The distance is short. You dare seek what cannot be found. Think of the birds who have access to the heavens. They fly high. You watch from the ground with leaden feet. You cannot follow. You stand where multitudes have stood without direction. There is no one to guide you.
What you know of what you seek is illusion. Where does one begin? Your ladder is short and cannot reach the heavens. You have no fins to swim the deep. Instead, you weep and cry, giggle and laugh. If there is no reality, then why try? What is it to be in the world without hope of something greater? Just a hint would help. Can you go forward without assurance? Do you have the courage to extend beyond your boundaries? Cleanse yourself of existence. Release your worldly ways. You cannot journey while dragging Marley’s chains. To walk the way of the path you must give up your attachments to the me of the body. The path becomes its own reward. If you do not look beyond the illusion, then life loses all value.
