Attending to Attar, Day 32
You are your own hinderance to entering the room-within. No one else stands in your way. Nothing else is blocking the doorway but your own weakness. Your true nature awaits you, yet you do not enter. You do not feel strong enough to release your ties to the me of the body. It holds you tightly in its grasp. You fear its loss. You cling to its desires. Pleasure and happiness draw you closer, yet pain and sorrow cause you to wonder if this is the way. You are lost and confused. You are imprisoned in your own existence. You want to be free but cannot step through the open door to be received. It just seems too much to handle.
Loosen your ties to the world. You are in its grip only because you grasp it so tightly. Remove your faith in its ways, and its hold will relax. Do not respond to every demand of the me of the body as you try to soothe its desires. Its thoughts and emotions divert you from the way of the path. Stay in the moment without judgment and hope. Let the past and future no longer be yours. Release them to your true nature. Reclaim your power from within. Stop being diverted by this and that. The me of the body is entangled in the ways of the world. Its ways lead to death. You are the living truth that is I AM. There is no other.
