Attending to Attar, Day 5
You seek a lord to rule your soul, thus gods are born. You desire assurance that there is more to you than flesh and bone, and so a creator awaits you beyond the grave. You accept these gods from those who wear the robes and crowns. They are schooled in knowing. They carry the message from heaven to earth. From those who are learned, the mysteries are revealed. The one who knows speaks the words for you.
Free yourself from worldly ways. Let no one bother you. Find knowledge from within. Attend to your true nature. From within, you will know the path to follow. Listen to the voice that leads. Stop thinking of yourself as alone and in need. Join with all. Release yourself from the me of the body and cross over the threshold of your existence.
