Ruminating with a mystic poet
To live in body is to experience pain and sorrow. This is to suffer. To suffer is to live in the world as the me of the body without wisdom and joy. You seek pleasure and happiness without knowing your true nature. Release desire. Step forth without expectation. You do not know the way. The river finds its natural course when left to flow freely. Slip into the water. Feel its embrace. You will not sink on its buoyancy. The river sustains your existence as you journey home to the sea.
Do not block the river with thoughts of this and that. Do not delight in the ways of the world. Walk on the water. Follow the river’s flow. Be the miracle that you are. This is the way of the path. This is your natural course. Your form seems solid and real. It is nothing, only particles of the universe clumped together until death. The life in you is real. It is the flowing of the river. It has no form. It has no existence. It is the eternal flowing of your reality.
In suffering, you stare into darkness seeking light. Your reflection in the dark mirror has no face. It does not move. Darkness restricts you to the body and its limitations. It fills you with judgment and hope. You deserve better. Pleasure and happiness escape you. Pain and sorrow are your companions. Darkness reveals its light to all who see. To see, enter the room within. There is no need to rail at the door. It stands open to all who wish to enter. Light from within the depths of darkness embraces you. It is love without fear that reaches for you and cares for you. Love without fear is joy. You are the joy within. Joy is your true nature, not suffering.
You are here to live in abundance and joy. Do not push the river to do your bidding. You do not know. Your doing will lead to suffering. Do nothing. Let the river flow freely through you. It nourishes and protects. The flowing is your true nature. To push the river is to block your true course. Be still. Sit with eyes open. You will see the way. Light sparkles on the water in darkness when eyes are open. Follow the light in silence without words. You are the light sparkling in darkness. Follow your own true light to the sea. The course opens before you. You know the way.
Look into the river. Do desires choke its flow? Is the water clouded by expectations? Desire and expectation push the river from its natural course. Clear the waters with the clarity of your true nature. Clear the channel of desire and expectation. Release the flow into the light. Light opens the gates of darkness to reveal your true face and set you free of your body’s limitations. Your power grows strong from within. Abundance and joy are your true companions.
