Ruminating with a mystic poet
The ocean can be without the wave. Its surface can lie flat—as flat as flat can be—on those still, smooth days when the wind takes time off to rest. Without the wind there is no wave. Without wind and wave, there is still the ocean. The wind nurses the wave from the waters, drawing it up into form, then releasing it. The wave comes and goes. The ocean is eternal.
The ocean is not the wave. You are not the body. You are eternal. The body is born from the dust of existence then given back to the dust from which it rose. You are forever the same—whole, complete, perfect, unchanging. Live wholly. Enter the room within. Herein, you touch the eternal. The eternal takes you in like water dissolves salt. You are there and then you are not, but you remain. You are in union with all. There is no separation within. From within, live outwardly in the whole of the all. Know twia in all things. You are that which I AM.
The world reflects how you see it. As your thoughts shift, the world shifts with them. It follows your course. Set your sights on “greed,” and greed will find you. Set your course to “kindness,” and kindness will be there. Choose wisely the world that you want. It is what you think it is.
There is in you that which I AM. Sometimes you are aware of twia, mostly you are not. Mostly you give awareness to the body’s survival and fulfillment, having forgotten your true nature. But twia is there, abiding in you like a candle in the window to guide you back home. When you are ready, the door is open for your return.
To break free of the world, surrender to twia then release pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. Desire and expectation will give way to peace of heart in all situations. You move from a world of separation into the whole of the all. It is a journey of thought. You are exchanging thoughts of this and that for unity with your true nature. Wisdom and joy replace ignorance and fear. The whole of the all embraces you in loving kindness. It is your loving-kindness with all that brings grace to your existence.
