Contemplating a mystic poet
You feel empty. You seek fulfillment. Something is missing that needs to be found. You want an identity, a purpose, and meaning in your life. Here and there you find happiness, but the beauty you seek comes up ugly. Evil seems to lurk. Sorrow and pity become your companions. You are bound to your misery. Is this the world you want, where fear hounds you and you cannot escape? Where is the fear? It is buried in your ignorance. Does it matter to you what people would say if you shed your fear and ignorance? You cannot wear them always. Eventually you must shed them at the door of the room within. They cannot be worn inside. You have walked the way of the world which goes back and forth in separation and unity. Now that you have found the way of the path, you see that there is no separation—no beginning and ending, no this and that, no here and there. You stand naked and exposed to the whole of the all. You no longer care what is right and wrong, good and bad, or beautiful and ugly. You are in unity with all. You are the glow from within as the ember of joy in wisdom. Fear and ignorance no longer abide with you in the world. You are the light on the hill for all to see.
How do I know that I exist? By the form in which I navigate a world of objects and fears. How do I know existence is not my true nature? By faith in the knowledge that I find within. That knowledge is the awareness that is I AM. To enter the room within is to dissolve back into I AM, like a dew drop disappearing into the golden light of daybreak.
You experience existence as pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. You know twia as abundance and joy. You are the wisdom and awareness that is I AM. This is the eternal. To touch the eternal is to know love without fear, which is joy. In joy there is abundance. Love is the sweet milk of the mother. Joy is its nourishment. You know joy from within. Its knowledge grows in your awareness of twia.
