Attending to Attar, Day 17
You are a pretender projecting humility where there is none. You are false and pretentious. You say you are less all the while believing that you are more. You say that you cannot imagine that you are greater within than you are in the world. You act like you are unworthy of knowing your true nature. Is it that you are afraid and that you cannot fathom such joy as being you? You project that you are too weak to journey within, so why try. You say, “Leave me be what I am in the world. That is enough for me.”
Well, lah-de-dah. You are all charm and airs, but your false humility deceives you. Stop talking. Button your lip and be quiet for a moment. Choose to suffer if you must but do so in silence, and please drop the humility act. You may appear feeble. You may fidget like a crow on hot coals, but you are truly capable of making the journey and you know it. Do not deny yourself. To think that you can find what you desire in the world is foolish. What you find you will lose, only to search and search again in cycles of birth and death. Release the world and its ways. Enter the room within. To journey within is to remember your true nature. To remember your true nature is to live a simple, humble life without pretense. Do so and you will touch the eternal.
