Attending to Attar, Day 14
It is easy to boast. You soar above others where you think you command from the heights. You believe this gives you bragging rights when, in truth, you have taken to following a course prescribed by others. You wish to be near to those who exalt you and who raise you to glory in your own eyes. Why, indeed, would you ever consider seeking your own course from such an elevated perch? You say that the road within is not your path to follow. Your ambitions lie elsewhere.
The appeal of worldly desires rings loudly in your ears. Your journey is to serve mammon. You covet your false sense of wealth and power. The me of the body and its world enthralls you. You are captivated. You are deaf and blind. Your ignorance holds you in bondage to ambition and greed. Instead, find wisdom within. Release the desires of the me of the body and its worldly ways. Enter the room within where your true nature prevails. Follow its path faithfully. It will give you ears to hear and eyes that see. The world is an idol which is simply there for you to witness. Be free of its appeal. There is no cause to boast that is worthy of you.
