Contemplating a mystic poet
Where are the words? They did not come during this moment. Maybe the next, or never. Why do I struggle with words? Is it not enough to know in silence? Silence is the way.
Attend to the moment. Be aware. Do not live in the morrow, hoping to change the past. The past is gone. Tomorrow never comes. There is a sign at the local pub that says, “Free beer tomorrow.” There is no free beer—ever. Bring your desires into the present. It is morning in the room within. The light shines on a new day. Live it fully. Feel the warmth of the sun on your face. Step back from the world. Change your course. Follow the way that is your true nature. It is found in the moment, day by day.
Walk humbly on the way of the path. Leave no trace. Do not contend. Find peace of heart in all situations. You are the way. You are your own path home. The river runs through you to the sea. The sea welcomes your return. Hear the voice within. It is your own. There is no other than twia. To follow twia is to walk in joy and wisdom without fear.
Free of fear. Free of hope. Without fear, love is untainted. To love without fear is to live without hope. What is hope but desire. What is desire but love tainted by fear. In this moment I have no fear, no hope. I have love. To have love without fear is joy. Live fully in joy each moment. Joy rises in the still, sweet silence of the room within. Joy is your true nature.
There is no certainty in these words. No one knows what they say. You live in an imaginary world, uncertain of what death brings. You struggle to know your reality beyond the grave. Let your companion be twia. Twia knows the way. Listen in silence. Words will not get you there. Silent awareness is your path. Return in awareness to I AM. Let the body fade and blow away. Let it return to the dust from which it came. You used it well. You found peace. Joy overcame you.
How and when you enter the room within is of your doing. No one can decide for you, but it will happen, if not now then another time. Each person has their own moment. You are planted in the ground of goodness, and you experience many cycles of birth and death before awareness takes you within, where you awaken to I AM.
Meanwhile, make no demands. To demand is to desire. To desire is to hold expectation. To hold expectation is to live in pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. This is the way of the world. The way of the path is without fear and hope. To live without fear and hope is to know wisdom and joy as your true nature.
