Attending to Attar, Day 3
The world grows heavy and weary as the weight of desire drags you down with chains of expectation. They pull you into the sea of misery that is suffering. How long will you bear this? Until you cry for freedom from the belly of the whale. Then you will abandon the ways of the world with its pleasures and pains, happinesses and sorrows. Then you will leave the whale’s belly for the room within where your genial nature greets you with a warm welcome.
Cry out! Your voice has power. Open your throat that all may hear. Be faithful to who you are. Do not abandon your true nature. Be aware of your existence without owning it. Do not let it absorb your reality. In bodily form you exist in the world. Live in the world knowing what you truly are. You are not your personality or its body. You are that which I AM, the whole of the all, which is consciousness in existence. Knowing this brings wisdom. To know wisdom is to touch the eternal. You are the eternal voice of wisdom and joy that cries out in the wilderness.
