Today in contemplation
Do not contend. Step back. Let the moment be. The way of the path is love without fear. To know such love, enter the room within. The door opens to all who wish to enter. To enter is to know joy. With joy, there are no winners and losers. There is no contention because joy does not contend.
Joy is love without fear. Fear is the opposite of love, while joy has no opposite. Love forms attachments, while joy garners no attachments. Love comes and goes, while joy is peace of heart always. These words come easily, but the way is hard. Step off on your journey along the path knowing that you do not know.
You are ragged and torn from worldly struggles in the brambles. Yet, within, you are the lustrous pearl of great value. Jesus said to sell all to buy the pearl. Release the world to follow your true nature. Your true nature knows the way.
The ways of the world are numerous but there is only one path within. Step away from the world. With all your struggling on your own you but stumble and fall into the ditches. Stop contending with the world. There is no need to fear. Those around you have their way, which is not yours to contend with. Leave them be. The life to consider is your own. Live simply and abundantly as the joy that you are while feeding all who come to your table. Turn no one away.
As the great masters say: There is no path to joy; joy is the path.
