Witness your fears and attachments
You may not notice the weight. You may not notice that you tread heavily upon the land. It all seems so normal, even in times of pain and sorrow. Until the weight becomes oppressive, you may feel you are leading a good and normal life. Marley wore the chains into death, only to look back to warn Scrooge. Do not wait for the warning. Enter the room within. Sit in the still, dark silence. Be the witness to thought and emotion. Observe your feelings and actions. Just to observe will weaken your attachments and fears. Your step will lighten.
Observe the world from within. Twia has eyes to see the oneness of all. You are that which I AM. There is no other. The whole of the all is consciousness-expressing. You are consciousness-expressing. You are the whole of the all. Know this from the inside out. Be the witness to the me of the body. You will begin to realize that what you observe is not you. You are not the body nor its personality. You do not have to live under the weight of ignorance and fear. Your true nature is wisdom and joy in twia. Your load is light when you live from within.
Joy is real. Happiness is transitory. You find happiness in the world. It comes and goes like all things worldly. It trends well when life meets your expectations. When things are not as you expect, happiness is harder to find. Sorrow is more likely to prevail when things go wrong. Happiness and sorrow are caused by your perceptions of circumstances. Joy, on the other hand, has no cause. It is your true nature. Joy cannot leave you. Joy and wisdom are the way of the path. Ignorance is the way of the world. The me of the body is ignorant of your true nature. Wisdom arises when you turn within. Wisdom is in all. It is consciousness in existence. Be wise in your ways without folly or meanness. Exhibit loving-kindness always. Live in harmony with the whole of the all. This is the way of the path.
With wisdom comes simplicity. Live simply, close to the ground. Do not struggle against the river. Find peace in its flow. To work against the river is to drown in folly. Learn to live in harmony with the water. The river is your true nature. Be its witness. Observe its flow. Join in seeking the lowlands. Do not resist the natural way. Be aware of the ground. Follow its contours. Be kind and gentle in your ways. Do not contend. Do not resist. Be joyful and wise always. You are twia.
