Attending to Attar, Day 41
The way of the path guides you through the portal of death. Your experience of existence as the me of the body barely registers with the eternal nature of your true being. Do not be short-sighted in life. The unseen mystery is your reality. The me of the body is but dust of the universe. In the end it scatters as you walk the path into the eternal. To save yourself from death’s fear, release your desires. The body’s fate is oblivion. You are that which I AM. Do not let desire accompany you through death’s portal. You will become lost in the world of souls. Enter death without expectation. Let your true nature be your guide. Drink from the pure stream within. Leave the bitter water in the well. It draws from the world and cannot quench. If you do not know your true nature in life, how will you recognize it in death? It is not easy to know the way.
