In contemplation
Who am I?
This is one of the great existential questions. Mystics and philosophers have struggled with it for centuries. Let us contemplate some of their teachings.
Day 8
All that is bound by spacetime is transitory. It is not real. Reality is eternal. The eternal knows neither time nor space.
Your world lies in spacetime. It appears real. It is but a transitory illusion in consciousness.
Do not deny the world. It is real to the me of the body, although it exists as illusion. It is a momentary appearance.
The present is your only worldly reality. The rest is memory and anticipation. All that you experience in existence occurs now.
Do not deny appearances, but do not own them as your reality. To know your true nature, enter the room-within.
Your circumstances are unique to you, so your experience of existence is unique to you as well. No one has your perceptions other than you. What you perceive of existence is determined in your mind.
Your mind, body, and world exist together, making your world personal and intimately your own. No one else thinks your thoughts, feels your emotions, has your experiences the same as you. In this sense, you are alone in the dream of separation.
But you are not separate and alone in reality. You are consciousness in existence. You are the whole of the all in unity without separation. This is your true nature.
