In contemplation
Who am I?
This is one of the great existential questions. Mystics and philosophers have struggled with it for centuries. Let us contemplate some of their teachings.
Day 7
Consciousness is ever present. It is the rhythm of existence. Existence is ever changing. Consciousness is constant.
Your true nature is motionless in a changing world. Enter the room-within. Sit in the stillness of who you are. Bring your awareness to I AM. Affirm that you are the one. There is no other than consciousness.
Do not think about these things. Let them settle in your heart. Meditate. Contemplate. Bring awareness of I AM into the light.
Your world is one of perceived separation. Your worldly existence relies on your senses to navigate its course from here to there through this and that. But your inner nature is unity and wholeness. There is no separation in the whole of the all which is consciousness in existence. Become familiar with your inner life. It is like a river flowing to the sea and you are the flowing. You are the energy of your own existence.
Master what you know. What you do not know, receive from within. You may know the ways of the world and still not know who you are. Witness the me of the body. Observe its ways but do not own it. You are not your body with its personality, thoughts, emotions, and desires. You are the observer; the one who witnesses from within. You are discrete awareness in the sea of awareness that is consciousness.
Observe life without attachment to its desires and expectations. Live in harmony with all situations. To be in harmony is to be aware of your bodily self and its world without owning their existence.
Be the witness. Live fully from within. Accept the guidance of I AM. You are discrete awareness in the sea of awareness that is consciousness. You are that which I AM. There is no other.
