In contemplation
Who am I?
This is one of the great existential questions. Mystics and philosophers have struggled with it for centuries. Let us contemplate some of their teachings.
Day 6
What is born, dies. What is not born is eternal. Your true nature was not born. It never dies. You are eternal. To know who you are, turn within. The room-within is your true nature.
The me of the body is not permanent. It is transitory, a brief experience of existence in consciousness. It is ignorant. It does not know the way. It knows desire. It holds expectations that lead to pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. It judges the past and gives hope to the future. It does not know your reality. It is fearful of its death.
Who you are is that which I AM. To know this is to remember your true nature. This knowledge is beyond existence. Enter the room-within when ready. Sit in the still silence. Do nothing. Accept that you do not know. Your true nature will reveal itself.
The me of the body is a vehicle of consciousness expressing separation. You perceive this and that as being here and there. You exist in a world of perception and illusion that appears very real to the me of the body, so real that you have forgotten your true nature. You have lost touch with its reality.
Remember, you are the energy of existence. You can know that energy now, from within. Keep your awareness on I AM always. Follow the guidance of your true nature. The voice within is your own. You are that which I AM. There is no other.
