Attending to Attar, Day 52
Do not boast of your love. To devote yourself this way is to be attached. You cannot enter the room-within by holding on to what you seek. It cannot be grasped. Let go of your love. Love in the world is tainted by fear. To love without fear is to know joy. Boasting will not reveal joy. Joy is revealed by grace. Grace reveals joy in the still, dark silence of the room-within. Herein lies your reality. Love in the world is a hard shell. The nourishing kernel is within. Break open. Reveal your true nature to all. Do not desire to know these things. Let them find you from within. It is an arduous undertaking to seek knowledge on your own. All you have is words, and words fall short of the task. Release the words. Turn yourself over to the still silence of the room-within. Joy will find you. Joy comes to you because it never left. Joy embraces you because you are joy. Your worldly love flickers like a flame. You are afire with passion blowing this way and that. Desire consumes you. Yet, you yearn for more. There is no end to your foolishness as you continue to boast of your love. It is not for you to say what is true. Do not take another step into the mystery on your own. You are nothing. You exist as dust in the cosmic winds. Abandon your existence. Release its passions. Forgo its desires. Let love die in its own flames. Its fears do not serve you well. If indeed you wish to love, then do so without fear. Make no claims. Have no attachments. Be who you are in the moment. You are the one. You are the love you seek. The love that possesses you possesses all. You are that which I AM. There is no other.
