Ruminating with Rumi
Rumi says that the duck knows not to soar to the heights of the eagle. What does Rumi know about soaring? Let the duck soar. Let the eagle paddle in the marsh grass. What can they know without knowing the other. In the end, they are neither duck nor eagle. They are bird. Bird is the whole of the all. Whether in marsh or sky, there is no other than bird.
Existence comes from nothingness. Nothingness is the energy of the emptiness that is nowhere. That energy is consciousness expressing existence. Consciousness-expressing is I AM. You are I AM. There is no other than I AM in existence. Consciousness in existence is the whole of the all. You are the whole of the all. You are neither duck nor eagle. You are bird. There is no other.
You are separated by words like duck and eagle. Let your true nature speak. Listen. Close your mouth. Open your ears. Hear the voice that is your own. You are the one. You are bird. There is no other. You forget your true nature as you paddle or soar in the world.
You cannot see your way to being bird because your brain is fogged. Let your light shine through the fog. Your brain does not know. It cannot see. It functions and dies. The light of your true nature is eternal. Glow from within. Paddle or soar, it does not matter. Be the bird that you are.
