In contemplation
Who am I?
This is one of the great existential questions. Mystics and philosophers have struggled with it for centuries. Let us contemplate some of their teachings.
Day 17
You are the energy in consciousness that projects the me of the body and its world. You are the energy of existence.
You know existence as a world of objects in spacetime. You have given this world meaning and see it as real.
Do not attach to your creation or you will miss the mark with your true nature. Your true nature lies within. It is not the me of the body and its world of separation.
The me of the body and its world of separation are a state of being in existence. Your life happens in a universe of events that shift and change, come and go. Your true nature is changeless and eternal. It does not happen like worldly events happen.
Your life is a moment in a dream held in consciousness. You identify as the me of the body in this illusion. Your worldly attributes do not last. You are a momentary description where none can be described.
Your existence is transitory. You give meaning to the world around you. The world you encounter exists because you exist. Nothing happens in isolation. Your true nature is beyond space and time. It has no description or comparison. It is without the qualities you give to your existence.
The whole of the world exists but is not real. Existence is separation and transition. Reality is whole and changeless. What is real is permanent. You are real. You are the eternal I AM. There is no other.
