Attending to Attar, Day 72
Existence is replete with wonderment. Every desire brings expectation of fulfillment. You stand in awe of possibility while experiencing pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. Alas, you feel the burden of the body. Hopes wax and wane. You ache for this and that. You arrived in your world of separation lost and confused. You gave yourself a soul and hoped for the best, if not now then maybe in an afterlife. You may even say that there is only oneness. To seek such oneness is to admit that you are adrift in the world. Truthfully, you do not know the way out except by death. You are ignorant, foolish, and fearful. You feel love but are afraid of its loss. You have faith but are full of doubts. You do not know who you are or why you exist. You have more questions than answers. In states of frenzy, you demand to know, then common sense says to let it go. Who are you, you say, to seek what cannot be found. Confusion becomes your companion. Your world seems to unravel before your eyes. You have nowhere to hide. There is no key to open the door to your own home. Stop! Now! Go no further with your madness. The door home is right in front of you. Do nothing. It is always open, no key required. Release all regrets. Let fires of passion burn through your ignorance and fear to light the way. In bewilderment, you wonder at it all. In wonderment, you stand ready. The weight is lifting. Enter! A new world awaits you from within.
