Attending to Attar, Day 89
Disappear. Abandon the me of the body. Submit to your true nature. Do not look at the world as your guiding light. The ember within lights the way. You live in the world without seeing, which is futile. All that you ever say or do is illusion. You are born nothing. You die nothing. The me of the body is ignorant and fearful. It is helpless and impotent. All that it attains, all that it achieves, is dust in the wind. If you think about it, you might ask, “What’s the use?”. You may choose to live with hopelessness and despair, or not. There are times you may feel like you are boiling in the waters of anguish, but why? There are times when all meaning may vanish, but meaning is of your own making. You are bewildered by choices. The door stands open while you falter. How much wider does it need to be for you to enter? Are you so lost that you cannot find your way? Tumble blindly into the pit if you must. At the bottom lives joy. Joy never leaves you. It cries out for you to enter the room-within. It is the ember that lights the way. You are worthy of walking the path. Submit to joy, for you are joy. There is no other.
