Attending to Attar, Day 87
Stop talking and listen. The unspoken silence says more than all the words of the world. It is in silence that you come to know. Silence leads to action, the action of doing nothing. To do nothing is to receive. To do nothing is to be awake and aware. You may seek in the world, but the me of the body is lost and alone. To follow its way is to be entangled in brambles. You must seek from within to find your path. You will never know otherwise. Do you grasp this tale? It takes wings to flee the world. Those who trod in the dust face certain death. Wings and dust speak different languages. The language of wings is love, not fear. Learn the language of love. To escape fear on the wings of love is to dwell in joy. Stop thinking about it. You will never learn of joy in the dust. The ways of the mind plunge you into fear. You ponder this and that. You wage war among ideas. Which is the one to follow? You fear not knowing. Light up your heart if you want to know. The mind is not up to knowing. Escape from its clutches. Remove your self from existence. You are nothing. To live in the dust is to be persuaded about this over that and that over this. Leave the dust. Step from the world onto the path. Enter the room-within. It is from within that you know.
