Attar has left his mark on you. What does he wish for you now? He has told you the harrowing story of the birds and their treacherous journey. You can follow their path by resigning yourself to the eventual oblivion of the me of the body and its soul. When you vanish from separation, your world will too. To leave existence now, enter the room-within with passion and desire, but without expectation. To not have expectations is to be ready to receive. Take the first step by emptying your mind. Do not reason. Act from the heart. Do not let your heart be confused by the mind. Pain and sorrow come from the mind’s thoughts and the desires and expectations that follow. Suffer, if you must, then let go. See your journey as its witness. There is nothing fancy about it. You are walking in the dust of the world, which billows and blinds you. Your longing for the room-within propels you forward as you seek the mystery. It is Attar’s wish that you know the truth of your existence.
