Ruminating with Rumi
In the still silence of the room within, the only noise is in your head. Its buzzing of thoughts is a cacophonic symphony—no music, just noise. Move your awareness from mind to heart. Tune to its silence with ears that hear. The din of your mind will settle. You are now embraced by dark silence. Your peace of heart extends to all. You are seed in the garden of awareness, planted firmly in its ground of goodness. The dark silence nourishes you so that you may grow into the light. You are drawn into I AM. You remember your true nature, which is awareness in existence. You are a drop in the ocean of joy that is the whole of the all. Your form changes. Your true nature remains. It has no existence. What you know in silence cannot be told by the world. Only the voice within can do the telling.
Break open. Shatter the egg that contains you. Cry out in weakness as you emerge. Your moans are heard within. There is no answer but silence. In silence you will hear the way. Open your ears to the voice you remember so well. It is your own—the one who knows. Your mind is cluttered with remnants from the world. They are like eggshells in your omelet. Pluck them out. Set them aside. They are not to your liking. They are not for you. Take in the nourishment of I AM without the detritus of the world. To know I AM is to remember your true nature.
You are that which I AM. Release yourself to twia. Stop fooling around with worldly matters. They do not suit you. They are foreign to your ways. Give your weaknesses to others who would help. Cry out to all. Find solace in the whole of the all. Loving-kindness will embrace you. You are the one crying in the wilderness. You will not be denied. The way of the path is abundant and open to all. Do not turn around to look behind. More are coming. You cannot go back. You have come too far to not know the way. You are I AM. There is no other.
