Attending to Attar, Day 65
When walking the way of the world, there comes a moment when you lay down your life in the dust. Until then, you are wagering against death, betting that you can beat it by living in an afterlife. Prone in the dust, you hear the call to enter the room-within. Entering, you lose all, including the body you possess. To die fully, you must release body and soul. You cannot return to I AM with any sense of separation. Separation is death, for you were born to die. “Enter” is the word that follows you always in your world, waiting for you to hear. But you do not heed its call. You continue your way with ears that do not hear. And why shouldn’t you? The way is pleasant. You are happy. Pain and sorrow may join you occasionally, but they seldom linger, so you choose to walk the way of the world for its convenience. Your fear of worldly loss chains you to your existence as a me of the body. You are not willing to give up all for sake of a mystery that you do not understand. To heed the call leaves you naked and ready at the door. Heed the call and you will remember that you are that which I AM—whole, complete, perfect, eternal. There is no other.
