Today in contemplation
The world is not your oyster. It does not hold your treasure. The pearl of great value lies in you. You are the center of your existence. Do not look to the world for salvation. It offers pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow. These are fed by worldly desires and expectations. Do not give your heart to the world. It will absorb it into its ignorance and fear. In the end the me of the body is absorbed entirely by the dust from which it came. Refuse the embrace of worldly ways. Jesus said to sell all to purchase the pearl. Abandon the self and its ways. Enter the room-within free of false treasures. No longer be taken in by this and that. Know this before you reach the grave. Leave the body to itself. Find your true nature within. You do not know. You are blind and deaf. Find your eyes that see and ears that hear in that which I AM. Let your true nature be your guide. It will take you to the sea of serenity. There you will touch the eternal.
