You are joy
The weight of the world is in the links you have formed in your chain of attachments to existence. To break the links is terrifying. You fall into the trap of pain and sorrow. You cannot believe that broken links can bring pleasure and happiness. With eyes that see, look upon the links for what they are. Conditions you have taken up without awareness. You have been ignorant of your true nature. In ignorance you have accepted what is not true: that your existence is your reality. The me of the body with all its attachments is not real. It is a thought of separation in consciousness. Your desires and expectations are beliefs that can be changed by changing your thoughts. Nothing is a given in existence. Existence is transitory. Enjoy your existence without attachments. Release pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow to the world. Accept the joy that is your true nature. This is the way of the path.
You are joy. Joy cannot be found. Joy is remembered. You have forgotten joy and seek it as happiness. Happiness comes with sorrow. Joy has no opposite. Joy is your true nature. To remember your true nature, enter the room within. Sit in the still silence. Become the witness to sorrow and happiness. Joy will arise from even the deepest pits of despair and anguish. Joy never leaves you.
To attach is to cling. To cling is to experience pleasure and happiness. With pleasure and happiness comes fear of loss. To lose attachments is to experience pain and sorrow. Attachment makes you vulnerable to the pains and sorrows of loss. You cannot enter the room within while clinging to attachments. To enter the room within is to release all attachments like Jesus asked of the young man who went away sad because he could not give up his wealth. Attachment brings you pain with pleasure, sorrow with happiness.
Drop all attachments. Break the links of Marley’s chain. Release the weight of the world upon the ground. Walk away. Open your eyes that see. See the whole of the all. See that this and that have no meaning but what you attach to them. See that joy surrounds all without expectation. Do not let fear blind you. Turn to twia to have eyes that see.
