Contemplative meanderings
There is existence. You know existence as the universe.
There is reality. Reality is the totality that is consciousness. It cannot be named or described. It has no distinctions. It lies beyond words.
Existence is transitory. Reality is unchanging.
Existence has cycles of birth and death. Beginnings and endings. Reality is eternal. Existence is separation. Reality cannot separate into this and that.
Existence is illusion. Reality is real.
Existence is within reality like a dream is within a child.
Existence is limited. Reality is boundless.
Reality is totality.
Existence appears independent of the me of the body. Existence is not independent of your true nature. You are I AM. There is no other.
Existence is illusion in consciousness, like a dream. Existence is consciousness expressing thought of separation. Separation cannot be real. There is only consciousness. Not consciousness and something else. This and that are thought held in consciousness. Not separate from consciousness.
To see existence as separate is to suffer in fear of oblivion. Ignorance of your true nature leaves you feeling alone and lacking. Your desire for love and fulfillment leads to expectations and attachments. Unfulfilled expectations and loss of attachments is suffering.
Physics studies existence. Metaphysics goes beyond physics to contemplate reality. Metaphysics answers questions not yet examined by physics.
The world, the universe, is real in that it exists. It is not real in that it is transitory. Reality is eternal. Existence is not eternal. But to exist is to live with the perception of reality. Existence is a real world unto itself, like virtual reality is a real world unto itself.
As the me of the body, you do not know what consciousness is. You do not know I AM. You are ignorant of what is not of your existence. The me of the body does not comprehend what lies beyond it. It does not know that it is illusion, a dream of separation in consciousness. The me of the body experiences its existence as real. The me of the body lives in ignorance, though it accumulates vast amounts of information about its existence and the world in which it lives. The information is true, like a unicorn is true, but not real. Reality is eternal. You cannot know reality by looking at the world. It is not real. You touch the eternal by looking within.
To live as the me of the body is to live in the real world of existence. This world is perception. You perceive your world as real. There is a real tree, a real chair, and a real bump on the head. The world is real to you, but it is not reality. It is a transitory reality. It exists, but not eternally. Reality is eternal. The transitory world is existence.
Existence is a dream in consciousness. It has substance but no reality. Existence is transitory. It forms and reforms, changing constantly. Reality is eternal and unchanging.
Existence came to be with a thought of separation in consciousness. Yin and yang were born. Reality is eternal without separation. Existence is transitory with perceptions of separation.
You are the eternal I AM. Your body seems separate with its birth and death.
Existence is physical. It is the reality that you experience in form.
Reality does not exist. Existence has reality. Reality does not have existence.
You cannot know reality. You experience existence and give it reality.
You perceive the world as if there were separation where there is none.
Separation exists in your perceptions. Existence is real to the perceiver.
Existence is a transitory reality. There is no real separation in consciousness. Existence cannot be real except as your perception. Existence in consciousness is illusion.
This and that = separation = two
This IS that = oneness = one
Not-this, not-that = reality = not-oneness.
There is no one without two.
There is no oneness without separation.
