Desire and fear are transitory
Do not cling to life to escape death. Instead, live without fear. Death will come to the me of the body, but not to you. You are eternal. Live as if you will never die. To live in fear is to be rigid and stagnant. To cling to life is to die daily. You fear life as well as death. To be free of the world is to live fresh and alive. Be willing to release freely. Let go of this and that. Existence is transitory. All things come and go.
Change is the watchword of life. To cling is to live in pain and sorrow with periods of pleasure and happiness. Observe your pain. Observe your sorrow. Be the witness to pleasure and happiness. None of these is you. Release attachments. Do not cling. Accept joy as your true nature. Then it does not matter if you are alive or dead. You are eternal.
To live in the eternal, enter the room within. Release the world. Face the infinite emptiness that is consciousness. You have no weight. No chains holding you in place. You are free to love life in harmony and balance with the whole of the all. You no longer fear the unknown. You enter the river. The flow carries you to the sea. This is twia. Twia is your true nature.
To have eyes that see is to experience the whole of the all. To have eyes that do not see is to be limited by ignorance and fear. The me of the body is blinded by the dust of the world. Twia gives you eyes that see. Do not look at the world through eyes that see this and that. This and that are separations. Find unity in twia. Twia will reveal the whole of the all.
The world struggles for goodness. To attain goodness leaves badness in the air. This is the world of separation. This is not unity. To find goodness without unity is just more of the same intolerance between this and that. Ignorance and fear breed intolerance. Intolerance judges the past then hopes for a future of this but not that.
The dust of the world clouds perception. You see through the veil of culture that molds your personality. Be the witness to the me of the body. Observe your perceptions without desire or action. Do nothing. Look at the world from within. Twia has eyes that see. With eyes that see, witness your desires and fears for what they are. Transitory. They are not real. They have no permanence. They come and go and vary among cultures. They dissipate when witnessed for what they are. Meaningless perceptions of the me of the body. Clear your heart of this and that. Do not judge. Do not hope. Emotion enters heart from all directions. Emotions are ponies coming into the field. Observe the ponies. Do not ride. Be their witness. They are foals of this and that. Do not corral or chase after them. Leave them in the field unfettered.
A living example of releasing fear to be free to act from within.
Yes, as a former basketball coach, I would share with the kids a statement I picked up a few years back: Many of the best players become good because they are not afraid to make mistakes and they are not afraid to lose. By holding on to this thought it frees them up to perform with calmness and relaxation. They look at the mistakes as stepping stones not as failing. They don’t identify with the miscues and realize that mistakes are simply events that happen and embrace those mistakes as opportunities to grow.
