Ruminating with Rumi
What is it to be alive? Do you feel ecstasy? Your body is a form in spacetime, a gathering of universal dust that is intelligent and aware. It is exciting to be alive. Animals thrive in their existence. They scurry about, doing what comes naturally. Humans fight their existence. Nothing is ever enough. Humans scurry about seeking more, then more after that. Maybe this is just their bodily nature. Jesus said to consider the lily. It neither toils nor spins yet has all it needs to be a lily. You do not know your true nature as do animals and plants. You perceive yourself as a body with a personality. That me of the body is full of angst. It is fearful and ignorant. Your true nature is wise and joyful. It is your true nature that feels ecstasy in being alive. You are a combination of body and spirit in existence. It is hard to sort out, but when you are ready, enter the room within. From within you will know the way.
