Giving and receiving are the same for mystics. They declare unity in the whole of the all. What you give is immaterial. It shall be returned. So be wise in your giving. Give not from desire but from your heart. Expect nothing in return. To give authentically is your true nature. To give from passion or desire is to expect a return. Give authentically and you will transform the world. You have then made giving an instrument of unity rather than separation. Joy is the greatest gift. To give joy is to love all without fear. Exhibiting loving-kindness to all, demonstrating goodness in the world with every deed, not as an example of right-wrong, good-bad, but as your true nature, this is joy. Joy expresses love by nature. It knows no other. Expand joy in the world. Delight those around you with joy. Give the gift of joy without hope or expectation. That is the way of the path.
