Today in contemplation
There are twelve gates into the city. To enter, you must know the way. The gate you enter is narrow. There is no room for worldly baggage to pass through. It must be left at the threshold. Wisdom is a gate. Compassion is a gate. But you need not choose. The wise are compassionate. The compassionate are wise. They are the same, for compassion lies in wisdom, and wisdom is your true nature. Arouse your true nature. Free yourself from desire and attachment. Step back. Let go. All that you need is in the moment. Compassion begins by letting go of the past. Wisdom is having no fear of the future. With loving-kindness for all, enter the city. It is the room-within. Herein lies the eternal I AM. Wholly wise. Wholly compassionate. You are that which I AM. There is no other.
