Considering Gods
To enter the room within is to focus on twia, your true nature. Twia is the power of possibility. Upon the eternal field of infinite possibility lies awareness, whole and discrete. The particulars of discrete awareness contain the wholeness of awareness, like the particulars of molecules hold the wholeness of water. Twia is discrete awareness. That which I am gives focus and meaning to the world through the me of the body. As discrete awareness, twia is witness to existence. Twia in totality is the expressing of existence. Twia, discrete and infinite, is consciousness-expressing.
All meaning in the world is derived through the power that is twia. In the past, you encapsulated your power in gods. The power that is twia was given to gods to be adored, feared, and worshipped. This was done in ignorance out of fear of the unknown.
What is a god? Are gods human constructs to give answers to the inexplainable? In part, yes. Gods give cause for devotion to what humans feel lies beyond their earthly lives in hopes of finding solace, reward, protection, and atonement. They inspire and unite. There can be one. There can be many. They come and go over time. There have been hundreds, if not thousands, through the ages. Still, today, there are many gods that are worshipped. They offer both succor and punishment. Gods are products of separation. They assuage one’s fear of helpless in a cruel world.
Because you perceive separation, you require balance in an all-powerful entity that is greater than yourself. Humans are weak so God is strong. Humans are created. God is the creator.
Gods are constructs that help to explain the unknown. As the unknown is revealed, gods change. Gods are the antithesis of your ignorance and fear as the me of the body. Gods are the extremes of your fears. They contain your hopes for a way through the world and into an afterlife, away from this place of suffering. Gods keep you from oblivion. You establish gods and the rules that go with them. Then you struggle to live by those rules to ease your suffering and pave the way for a better life and salvation from death. Gods can be simple or complex. Elaborate institutions arise around some. Other are supported with humility.
Gods are critical in the human experience. Do not abandon your god until you know the I AM. Then you will know there is no god outside that which you are. You are the one. There is only the one. There is no other. Chuang Tzu says that what you know is nothing to what you do not know. How can a god be the answer to all things all the time? The void of what cannot be comprehended is filled with your god. God fills the abyss of ignorance.
Gods become tools of the powerful to terrify and manipulate those who are weak. The weak are most of the population. Weakness comes from fear of death and oblivion. But God will save you from oblivion, so all is well, if you obey.
