Ruminating with Rumi
The vibration of joy lingers in you, waiting to be received. Bring your awareness to its presence within. You are not blood, flesh, and bone. You are joy. Joy is love without fear. Fear fuels your worldly desires and taints the love you give and receive. Worldly love comes with expectations and attachments. Joy vibrates in the sanctuary of the heart. It cannot be described or compared, except to say that it is eternal and has no opposite. To feel the vibration of joy, enter the room within. Do nothing. Joy will come over you in the deep, dark silence. Joy is the harmony of existence. Receive its vibration. Let your heart sing. Extend love to all without compromise. Be silent and know the way.
I AM joy. I AM the vibration of life, the movement of consciousness expressing existence. Vibration is the energy of the universe. Form is vibration existing. Existence is consciousness expressing separation. Separation is thought that cannot be made real. The existence of form is illusion, like the thought of unicorns is illusion in mind. It is hard to leave your world of illusion that seems so real. Your balance of pleasure and pain, happiness and sorrow keeps you tethered to your existence as the me of the body. You seek more but are reluctant to sever your attachments to the world in which you live. It is home to you, offering comfort and happiness along with suffering. Your true nature awaits until you are ready to enter the room within. For now, it seems too much of a gamble to give up your attachment to the me of the body. In some ways, it is all you know. As Rumi suggests: the frog is happy in the pond, not knowing the ocean; the frog that leaves the pond for the sea is wise not to linger long at roadside attractions. Speed up your journey by following the flow of the river within. This flowing is your true nature. It knows the swiftest way to the sea.
