What is the difference between the lotus flower and the mud in which it is rooted? Nothing! They are in union like yin and yang. Is yin more desirable than yang, or vice versa? Consider the mud with the lotus. The lotus flower does not exist alone atop the water without anchor. The difference between the flower and the mud is arbitrary. The same goes with the difference between existence and reality. You do not know where one ends and the other begins. Both are illusions in your world. What do you know of reality when you barely understand your own existence? You cannot separate the lotus flower from the mud. The same goes for life and death, good and evil, etc. Opposites are illusions of separation in your world of this and that. They have no meaning but to you. There are no distinctions in reality that separate the living from the dead. Opposites are your constructs to explain this and that as the me of the body. When you remember your true nature, yin and yang are in perfect union. There is no separation. Opposites are merged as the unimaginable whole of the all. You are the whole of the all. There is but one I AM. There is no other.
