Joy is your own true nature. You are ignorant of this and so you fear for your life. You cling to life hoping that its pleasures can bring you happiness. Along the way, you find pain and sorrow. You cry for mercy. You fear oblivion. You are like a wounded warrior, fallen in battle, bloodied at the side of the road. When you awaken, you drink the sweet dew of morning. You become drunk on joy. From the ditch, you see the way out and follow your drunken heart home. You are worthy of joy. Whether you stand atop the mountain or walk the trenches of the deep, the face of joy watches over you from within. You cannot lose joy. It never loses sight of you. Joy knows neither darkness nor light. Yin and yang fade to oneness. Unity leaves no shadow. Joy’s light is cast upon light. Your ignorance of this means nothing to the eternal joy that is your true nature.
